For large items, even a correct address can be difficult to reach. A narrow passage, restricted loading area or site with a separate entrance can affect delivery. An online store must identify such restrictions early without filling checkout with questions nobody follows up. Checkout & Delivery can form part of this approach when the required information, its reviewer and the customer's expectations before ordering are clear.<\/p>\n

Start with recurring delivery problems<\/h2>\n

Ask planning which situations actually lead to delays or extra contact. Use those experiences to select a few clear questions. In a fictional online store, long garden panels are delivered. A customer enters a residential address, but the unloading point lies beyond a tight bend. The team wants to know in advance whether the agreed unloading point has normal access. The relevant question concerns the unloading point and access, not a broad assessment of the entire property.<\/p>\n

Phrase questions so customers can answer without specialist knowledge. An unfamiliar vehicle code is of little help. Describe the practical situation and offer a route for uncertainty. The shop itself must decide which technical assessment is needed. A customer's answer is useful input, but must not be treated as an expert accessibility assessment without further agreement.   3. A known restriction receives the agreed alternative route.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    During the review, check whether customers can explain a restriction without having to choose the delivery method themselves. That decision belongs to the responsible planner when it requires knowledge of the vehicle and delivery operation.<\/p>\n

    For each scenario, show what the customer sees, what appears on the order and which employee receives the next step. Also check that the confirmation correctly describes a date as a preference or an appointment.
